It was just after 1:00 AM on Tuesday March 19, 2013, when we received a call that a fire had occurred at Kansaku Restaurant in Evanston, IL. What is believed to have started from an appliance failure in the kitchen caused smoke damage throughout the restaurant. United Services enlisted the assistance of its 1-800-Boardup team to boardup the property quickly, securing it and mitigating any future damages that might have occurred.
Then we got right to work. Our crews cleaned and deodorized the entire restaurant including the walls, floors, ceilings, tables, counter, bar, chairs and registers. We also cleaned and sealed the ductwork and furnaces and repaired the front door.
